Reflecting on our journey from concept to launch, we’ve learned a few things about building software that supports the world of youth sports.


1. Understanding Our Users is Key

As we dove into youth sports software, we realized that a deep understanding of our users—tournament organizers, coaches, and parents—is critical. We held regular focus sessions and used feedback to shape our platform’s features.

This direct feedback loop helped us prioritize the features they truly needed, like bracket management and real-time score tracking, over ones that just looked impressive.

With everyone on board, we could pivot easily based on real-time feedback from our first events, and this flexibility kept us competitive.

Starting a company has taught us to maximize value while minimizing cost. By focusing on remote work and using digital tools, we’ve been able to reinvest savings into key areas like security, scalability, and user support—factors essential to growth in sports technology.
